Even though technology is still limited today in art classes, the slide projector in art history classes makes it easy to teach and learn about art in history.
Zoe, I saw your image and thought, "The slide projector, of course!" There really is no other technology that has been as useful for such a long period of time in art classes! It is so obvious it's practically invisible and definitely taken for granted- I wish I had thought of it!
Zoe, Seeing your image brought me back to my grammer school days in art class. It's a great piece of technology that I think people might overlook. Now, I'm not an art major but would you still use a projector in class over power point?
The projector! When I completed this assignment I did not even think of this wonderful piece of technology through the time period selected. Considering your content area, I think that this is a wonderful technology that could be incorporated in classroom still today. It allowed students to truly experience art as pieces were intended rather than printed in a textbook and surrounded by text. In today's classroom, the same purpose can be achieved through technologies like the smart board or computer projectors. I think it is necessary to allow students to experience art as a spectator to truly engage themselves with the beauty.
